Libero / (ˈliːbero) / means free in Italian and is also the name of our Nonno. We are believers in keeping family traditions going but also making new ones with every new generation.

the chef behind the cooking

Growing up in a big Italian family Samantha was always surrounded by cooking and tradition. Since she was little, weekends were filled with The Food Network channel and Nonna's house on Sunday afternoons. Always in the kitchen trying to help where she could, being a professional Chef was always a dream of hers.

After getting her degree in Business Administration and Marketing she wanted to pursue cooking and bring her skills to the next level. She attended ITHQ (Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec) and then moved to British Columbia for almost three years, working at the top hotel in Whistler. After realizing that a cold kitchen isn't the way she wanted to share her passion, she knew she had to change her path. She wanted a more intimate and customized approach to cooking. Human connection was the missing link. It was only natural to follow her passion of cooking, hosting and creating memories that last a lifetime and built Libero Traiteur.
